Pleasant Summers Casto was born in Jackson County, W. Va., November 24, 1858, and died at his home at Letart Falls, Ohio, July 26, 1923, age 64 years, 8 months, and 2 days. He was united in marriage to Sarah Casto, December 11, 1879, to which union eleven children were born, four of whom preceded him to the great beyond. His companion, Mrs. Sarah Casto, and seven children, namely, Mrs. J. D. Hiney of Letart Falls, Ohio; K. P Casto of Fairplain; W. E. Casto of Washington, Pa.; Mrs. T. C. Rhodes of Apple Grove, Ohio; Miss Lucy Casto of Athens, Ohio; and Gay and Clara Casto, at home; besides five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, J. R. and E. P. Casto of Fairplain; and three sisters, Miss Mattie Casto, Mrs. W. W. Johns, and Mrs. Lester Skeen, all of Kentuck, and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn their loss. He was buried in the Grass Lick Cemetery Sunday. Rev. L. E. Powers delivered the funeral oration.
