Helen C. Johnson, age 86, a resident at the Court at Felician Village, Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at Rivers Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center in Manitowoc.

Helen was born on Jan. 19, 1925, at Roselville, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of the late John and Helen Stiefvater Griesbach. Helen attended Manitowoc Catholic Grade Schools and was a graduate of Lincoln High School with the class of 1943. She had been employed at White House Milk and the French Slipper Shop. On Dec. 27, 1948, she married Irving W. Johnson at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on March 15, 1989. She enjoyed being with her family, wintering in Florida, spending time at her cottage in Chaudoirs Dock, playing sheepshead, piker, and doing crossword puzzles. Helen was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Manitowoc.

She is survived and will be missed by her five daughters and sons-in-law: Cathy and Mike Dailey, Manitowoc, Mary Sue and Mark Vraney, Manitowoc, Julie and Eric Von Barnau Sythoff, Riverside, Calif., Pam and Bob Reichardt, Manitowoc, Wendy and Don Frisch, Manitowoc; two sons and daughters-in-law: John and Karen Johnson, Manitowoc, Jeff and Debbie Johnson, Manitowoc; 20 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; two sisters and one brother-in-law: Allie and Willard Matthias, Cleveland, Wis., Betty Loughrin, Princeton, Wis.; two sisters-in-law: Bonnie Johnson, Manitowoc, Betty Griesbach, Manitowoc. She was preceded in death by her parents: John and Helen Griesbach; husband: Irving in 1989; four sisters, one brother and one son-in-law: Jim Kiefer.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., on Friday, April 8, 2011, at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Daniel Viertel. Entombment will take place at Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call at St. Francis of Assisi on Friday form 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m.
