Otto J. Kaderabek, age 80, of 1903 S. 18th St., Manitowoc, died Thursday, November 16, 2000 at St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc. Services will be held at 2:15 pm Monday, November 20, 2000 beginning with a VFW Service followed by a Funeral Service led by Rev. Richard Klingeisen at the Pfeffer Funeral home, Manitowoc. Entombment will follow at Calvary Mausoleum. Military Graveside Rites will be accorded by the Kubale-O'Connell VFW Post #6179.
Otto was born July 24, 1920 in Manitowoc, Wis., son of the late Charles Sr. and Erma Shimek Kaderabek. He was a World War II veteran serving in the United States Army from 1942 to 1945 with a tour of duty in Germany. He married the former Helen Schnell on may 28, 1946 at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Kiel, Wis. Otto was employed as a truck driver for Northern Food Products until his retirement in 1982. He was a life member of the Kubale-O'Connell FVW Post #6179 of Kellnersville.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Kaderabek, Manitowoc; one daughter and son-in-law, Lois and Kenneth Saville, Madison; two grandchildren, Kathryn and Kristin; one brother and sister-in-law, John C. and Ann Kaderabek, Manitowoc; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Apoline Hablewitz, Ruth and Benno Steuer, Gene and John Kane, all of Manitowoc; one sister-in-law, Kathleen Kaderabek, Maryland. He is also survived by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Charles Jr., Alois and Eugene; three sisters, Leona Kasten, Laura Lex, Ludmilla Kaderabek.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the Pfeffer Funeral Home on Monday from 12 noon until the time of service at 2:15 pm.
