GEORGE C. L'ECUYER
George C. L'Ecuyer was born April 26, 1881 near Aurora, Kansas, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph L'Ecuyer. He was a member of the Roman Catholic Church.
On April 15, 1901 he was married to Emma Cardinal at St. Joseph, Kansas. They lived and farmed in the Clyde-Clifton communities until 1944 when he retired, and they moved to Clifton.
Mrs. L'Ecuyer died in 1957.
In November 1964 Nr, L'Ecuyer moved to St. Ann's Home for the Aged in Concordia and had been a resident since that time.
Mr. L'Ecuyer was preceded in death by his wife, Emma, and an infant daughter, Delvina and two half-sisters, Nelda (Mrs. Frank Fortin), and Delvina (Mrs. Edward Gagnon).
He is survived by nine children: patsy, now Mrs. John Limbrey of Clifton; Miss Cecelia L'Ecuyer of Washington, D. C.; Lillian, now Mrs. John McConahey of Concordia; Mrs. Bern Odette Demars, of Aurora; Regis L'Ecuyer, of Clyde; Madeline, now Mrs. Warren Bottenfield of Overland Park; Mrs. Rose Harper, of Clyde; Paul L'Ecuyer, of Aurora, and Mae now Mrs. Mike J. Baba of Wichita, Kansas, 28 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren, two half-brothers; A. P. Nobert of Ames and Philip Nobert of Concordia; two half-sisters; Mrs. Alvine Belanger of San Luis Obispo, Calif., and Mrs. Clarice Abel of Eugene, Ore.
Funeral services for Mr. L'Ecuyer were held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Clifton, Kansas on Friday February 17 with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Clifton, KS.
