NONA S. BLISS
Private services for Mrs. Nona S. BLISS, 83, of 106 Vale St. were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Sunset Memorial Park, with the Rev. Homer Stewart Officiating.
Mrs. BLISS died at 7:10 a.m. Tuesday in a local hospital after a long illness.
Born April 21, 1895, in Nebraska, she was a daughter of the late Clarence K. and Emma McADAMS SMITH.
Mrs. BLISS was a member of the First Methodist Church of Grand Junction, Colo., the Rebekah Lodge and Neighbors of Woodcraft, all of Grand Junction.
Her husband, Archie D. BLISS, preceded her in death in 1957. Survivors include one son, A. Allen BLISS of Beckley; one daughter, Mrs. D. C. (Nellie) BARTON of Boulder, Colo.; four sisters, Mrs. Arie (Leona) VANDER STOEP, Mrs. Herman (Fern) ROWENHORST, and Mrs. George (Clarice) FLIKKEMA, all of Orange City, Iowa, and Mrs. Robert (Corrine) RYAN of Anaheim, Calif.; one brother, John S. PORTER of Las Vegas, Nev.; one granddaughter, Candice A. BLISS of Denver, Colo.
