Emma Amanda McADAMS was the daughter of Jacob Wilson and Martha Frances (FIMPLE)McADAMS, she was one of three children born to them. Emma had a sister Mary Blanche McADAMS who died very young and a brother who died and not yet been named. Emma married three times and gave birth to nine children. Emma married 1st 25 Dec 1892 in Whitman, Grant, Nebraska to Clarence Knapp SMITH son of Charles Wesley and Alvira Beattie (KNAPP) SMITH, they had six children, Clarence died in 1901 before their youngest child was born. Emma married 2nd 3 Sep 1902 in Whitman, Grant, Nebraska to John Millard PORTER son of Stephen Alexander and Laura J. PORTER, Emma and John had two children were born to them he died in 1908. Emma married third 14 Jun 1914 in Grand Junction, Mesa, Colorado to Daniel Stephen THOMAS son of John W. and Mary Elizabeth (DAVIES) THOMAS, Dan and Emma had one child.

Mrs. Emma Amanda THOMAS, 87, of 1233 Main St., died at 1:30 a.m. today in St. Mary's Hospital. She had been ill for two months.
Mrs. THOMAS had lived in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Archie BLISS, for 12 years. She had been a resident of the Valley since 1903. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church and Woodcraft Lodge.
Mrs. THOMAS was born Dec. 12, 1876, at Halls, Mo., and spent her childhood there, in Kansas, and Nebraska. She was married three times, to Clarence K. SMITH, John W. PORTER, and Daniel S. THOMAS. She was a widow each time.
Mrs. THOMAS was the mother of nine children, eight of whom survive. Two sons, Roy SMITH and John PORTER, live in Clearfield, Utah; the six daughters are Mrs. BLISS, Mrs. Herman ROWENHORST, Mrs. Arie VANDER STOEP, and Mrs. George FLIKKEMA of Orange City, Iowa, and Mrs. William DOBY and Mrs. Robert RYAN, both of Los Angeles.
She was a step-mother to Mrs. Archie REED of Fruita, Mrs. Floyd LISCHKE of Meeker, and Mrs. Theodore WHITE of California. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Martin's Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements.
