Word has been received of the death of Russell D. Cope, 21 years old, a former Aurora boy, in Bakersfield, Calif., Thursday, September 14.
Cope was a native of Crane and was employed at the Juvenile shoe factory here. He left Aurora about four years ago with his parents. He was employed as an oil well rigger.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Russell Cope; his son Gerald; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Cope; four brothers, Cloyd, Darrell, Dean, and Duane; and a sister, Mrs. Don Martin, all of Bakersfield.
Funeral services were conducted there.
