Agnes Hensley departed this life April 24, 2006, at home, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of 97 years, 3 months, and 24 days.

The daughter of Jesse Alonzo and Ella Mae Mansker Wood, she was born December 30, 1908, near Hartville, Missouri.

On July 3, 1935, she was united in marriage to Leelan Marian Hensley and together they shared 50 years before his passing on October 12, 1985.

She and Leelan lived on their farm in Grovespring, until moving to Hartville in the early 1980's. In October 2002, she moved to "The Garden's" in Springfield.

Agnes made her profession of faith in Christ at the age of 13, and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hartville.

In her spare time she greatly enjoyed making beautiful quilts and crocheting.

Agnes will be greatly missed and will live in our hearts forever. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends.

Preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters, Nettie Gregory and Opal Rowe; a half-brother, Cecil Wood; half-sisters, Cora Sullivant and Gladys Ward; an infant sister; a niece, Dottie Jean Radford; and nephews, Gene, Don and Gerald Gregory.

Survived by her sister, Velma Ferriel; nieces, Joyce Butts, Iris Bradley, Wilda Ferriel, Esther Young, Marie Garner, Maxine Smith and Arlyene Rippee; nephews, Jesse and Jimmy Gregory; half-niece, Ruth Robinett; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held April 27, 2006, in Steele Memorial Cemetery, Hartville.
