Edward Bewilder Whitson Jr., 83, of Crossville, passed away Dec. 28, 2014, at Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville.
He was born April 1, 1931, in Gallatin, TN, the son of the late Edward Dewilder Whitson Sr. and Lilian (Atwood) Whitson.
He was a retired aircraft mechanic for the United States Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by his son, Kerry Lynn Whitson of Kennesaw, GA; sister, Ivey Delores Barnes of Whitehouse, TN; brothers, John P. Whitson of Nashville and Robert Whitson of Brentwood, TN; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jo (Lawson) Whitson; son, Jeffrey B. Whitson; father, Edward Bewilder Whitson Sr.; and mother, Lillian (Atwood) Whitson.
Pallbearers were Greg Whitson, Shawn Whitson, Ben Whitson, Cub Whitson, John Hux and Brian Hux, and honorary pallbearer Jason Whitson.
Funeral services were held at Bilbrey Funeral Home Jan. 1, with Dr. H. Raymond Langlois officiating. Interment was in Green Acres Memory Gardens.
