Robert L. Whitson 82 of Brentwood passed away March 2, 2018. Well known and loved all across Nashville, the "Candyman" impacted many lives and always had Tootsie Rolls readily available for kids young and old. He will be remembered for his kind and gentle heart and his great sense of humor. He thoroughly enjoyed helping others through his insurance business.
He is survived by his loving wife Ruth Ann (Thurman) Whitson and his Children Robin (Mark) Langlois, Terry (Steve) Fralick, Scott (Pat) Whitson and Bobby (Danielle) Whitson. Grandchildren, Jeremy (Lora) Langlois, Wesley Langlois, Braxton Fralick, Peyton Fralick, Whit Whitson, Karli Whitson, Morgan Whitson, McLean Whitson, and Meredith Whitson. Great grandchildren Elizabeth, Catherine, Anna, and James Langlois. Sister, Ivy (Lloyd) Barnes.
He was preceded in death by parents Edward & Lillian Whitson.
Visitation Sunday March 4th from two o’clock in the afternoon until six o’clock in the evening at Woodlawn Roesch Patton Funeral Home. Funeral Service Monday March 5, 2018 at eleven o’clock in the morning with visitation from 10 o clock till service time at Judson Baptist Church with Dr. Raymond Langlois officiating. Burial following at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
