SURVIVORS: his wife, Halie S. Abner of Savannah; a daughter, Elva Smith of Savannah; three sons, Marion L. Abner of Beechmont, Ky., George H. Abner of Caryville, Tenn. and Virgil E. Abner of Palm Bay, Fla.; a brother, Ernest Abner of Scottsburg, Ind.; two sisters, Jewel Wilson of Miamisburg, Ohio and Mary Ann Peffley of West Carrollton, Ohio; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
