Thomas Leonard Cherry, 70, lifelong resident of southeastern Idaho, died Thursday at a St. Anthony Hospital following a lingering illness.
Mr. Cherry was born July 31, 1901 at Mapleton, son of Charles S. And Nancy Jane Bennett Cherry. He spent his early life at Sand Creek and Sarilda, north of St. Anthony, where he received his early education. He was a retired laborer and sheepherder, having worked in Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.
Receded in death by his parents, three sisters, and four brothers. Surviving are a brother, Loyd Cherry, and four sisters, Mrs. Walt (Velma) Siddoway, Teton; Mrs. Anna Benson of Rexburg; Mrs. Cora Hill of Shelton, Oregon; Mrs. Florence Kirkham, California.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Hansen Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Michael Shaw of the St. Anthony Community Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in the Teton-Newdale Cemetery.
