Tributes of Respect
Mrs. S. J. Hardin, wife of the late Capt. E. C. Hardin, died at her home in Atlanta on Friday last of heart disease. On Saturday her remains were brought to Woodstock for interment. Funeral services were conducted by Dr. W. H. Dean and Rev. W. J. Barton. Having lived a long time at this place she leaves a large circle of friends to mourn her departure. Her's was one of those exceptionally good natures, that illuminates the home and the community. Her noble traits of character and suavity of manners won the love of all who knew her. Her life is worthy of our emulation. She was a consistent member of the Baptist church for many years, ever manifesting her love to God and her neighbors, and we will surely greet her on the other shore, if we are permitted to share the pleasures at God's right hand.
