Woman, Struck By a Tree, Passes Away
Mrs. Bertha Dixon Expires In Ambulance While Enroute to Hospital

Mrs. Bertha Dixon, 43, wife of Hubert Dixon, near Bethel, Pike county, was fatally injured Saturday at 2 p.m. when she was struck by a falling tree and sustained a fractured skull.
Her husband, and Clifford Clark, a son by a former marriage were felling a tree and did not know she was near. One of the large limbs struck her on the head. Dr. L.E. Wills, of Waverly, was called, and ordered her removed to Chillicothe hospital, but while she was enroute there in the Gregg ambulance, death overtook her before she reached Waverly.
She is survived by her husband, six sons and three daughters.
Funeral services for Mrs. Dixon were held at two o'clock Monday afternoon at the Bethel church and was burial was made in the Bethel cemetery under the direction of the A.M. Gregg Company, of Waverly. She is survived by her husband and nine children.

Please note: A Picture was submitted showing a white fence with Bethel, Cemetery written on it. This is an incorrect cemetery. I posted a picture of the correct Bethel Cemetery with the arch.
