Guy Clark was the 2nd child of six born to Charles Howard Clark (1883-1926) and Bertha (Clay) Clark Dixon (1889-1932)
Both of Guy's parents died young. His father, Howard, was a Coal Miner and was crushed by a slab of coal which fell on him. His mother, Bertha, had a tree fall on her head and died from the skull fracture (both were 43 years old).

He was born in Paintsville, Johnson Co, Kentucky and moved to Ohio after the death of his father. He joined the AAF 138 Base Unit Air Corps in WWII (from 1942-1945) as a Private.

His Death Certificate indicates that he was divorced and that he was a Timber Worker in a Saw Mill. His death was by "Gunshot Wound of the Left Chest" and he died within minutes of being shot. He was determined by the Coroner and a autopsy to be a Homicide victim ("shot with a pistol during a drinking party" "on a public road in Newton Township, Piketon, RFD #2 in Pike County".

He was only 50 years old and had no children.
