W. Lloyd Diem, 85, of Stevens, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2015, at Fairmount Homes.
He was born in West Earl Township to the late Oscar and Mary (Snader) Diem and was the husband of Elma M. (Halligan) Diem, with whom he shared 60 years of marriage.
Lloyd was a member of Groffdale Mennonite Church. He was a farmer and truck driver. Lloyd enjoyed spending time with his family and going to the mountains.
In addition to his wife, Lloyd is survived by a son, Gary L., husband of Deborah Diem of New Holland; daughter, Sharon L., wife of Nelson Sensenig of New Holland; 3 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and 4 step great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Clarence, Aaron, Arthur and Melvin Diem.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, February 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Groffdale Mennonite Church, 168 N. Groffdale Rd., Leola. An additional viewing will be held on Wednesday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church, followed by funeral services held at 10 a.m., with Pastor Thomas Eshleman officiating. Interment will take place in the Groffdale Mennonite Cemetery.
