DIED IN NEBRASKA

Mr. John Walter, a former resident of this city, died Wednesday at St. Edward, Nebraska, after 14 weeks illness with consumption. He was born in Hohenberg, Barvaria, and in 1881 came to South Bend where he resided until about a year ago when he went to Las Vegas,New Mexico, for his health. Not receiving much benefit he went onto St. Edward and grew worse there, passing away on the 24th inst.
His age was 31 years, 2 months, 15 days. He leaves beside a wife and child in St. Edward, a mother and two sisters in this city to mourn his loss. His remains arrived yesterday and were taken to the home of his sister, Mrs. Wolf Trager (Troeger), south Hill street. The funeral occurs Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from Zion's church. Rev. Mr. Goffeny officiating.
