MOUNT STERLING - Cleora M. Koch, 91, of Mount Sterling died Friday, Feb. 9, 2001, at her residence. She was born July 25, 1909, in Brown County, the daughter of Almy Hayden and Myrtle Anna Hill Bump. She married Silvey E. Koch in 1939 in Palmyra, Mo.; he preceded her in death in 1997. Mrs. Koch attended both Mount Sterling and Decatur high schools. She was a former treasurer of Zion Lutheran Cemetery, a 12-year trustee for Elkhorn Township and a member of Mount Gilead Primitive Baptist Church in Brown County, where she served as secretary. She worked with the Home Extension Program and 4-H Club. Survivors: a brother, O.J. (wife, Teddy) Bump of Mount Sterling; two sisters, Virginia (husband, "Buckle") Hornbuckle of Mount Sterling and Geneva Evans of Eureka, Calif.; several nieces, nephews and cousins; many great-nieces; and several great-great-nieces and nephews. Services: 2 p.m. Monday, Hufnagel-Graham Funeral Home in Mount Sterling, Alan Curtis officiating. Burial: Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Elkhorn Township.
