Born Feb 16, 1911 in Brown County Illinois the son of Alma & Myrtle Hill Bump, he married Ethel May "Teddy" Wagner on August 6, 1938 in Eldon Missouri; she survives
Mr Bump was the owner of Bump Lumber Company in Mt Sterling, for over 20 years; earlier in life he had been engaged in farming
He attended Council School and high school in Mt Sterling
Mr Bump served his country in the US Army and was a member of Mt Gilead Primitive Baptist Church near Hersman, Illinois
O.J. was a member of the Hardin Lodge No 44 AF & AM for over 60 years, a member of the Quincy Consistory and a former member of the Mt Sterling Odd Fellows
He always enjoyed fishing and traveling, having traveled to all 50 states; he especially enjoyed the times he spent in the desert.

Funeral services are scheduled at 2 pm, Sunday, Feb 26, 2006 in the Hendricker Funeral Home, Mt Sterling
Burial in Hersman Cemetery
Visitation from 5 until 7 Saturday, Feb 25, 2006 at the funeral home.
Masonic service will be held at 7:00 pm by Hardin Lodge # 44 AF & AM
Friends may also call from 8 am until time of services on Sunday
