Funeral services for Mrs. Veronica Lewandowski, 65, were held from the Triska Chapel in Rosenberg Tuesday, Sept. 14, at 9 a.m. followed by Requiem Mass at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Richmond at 9:30 a.m., with Father O'Malley officiating.
Mrs. Lewandowski was born in Chappell Hill on Jan. 19, 1900, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Tomczak. She made her home in the Richmond community until the last few years when she moved to Houston. She passed away Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Regina Michalak of Houston, following a long illness.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Theresa Bailey and Mrs. Regina Michalak of Houston, and Mrs. Eva Bennett of Danbury; two sons, Maxie Lewandowski of McAllen and Clement Lewandowski of Tomball; four sisters, Sister Lillian Tomczak of Beeville, Sister Mary Tomczak of Natatock, La., Mrs. Mary Worchesik of Hempstead, and Mrs. Agnes Sydowski of Rosenberg; five brothers, Stanley, Henry, and Charlie Tomczak of Hempstead, and John and Mike Tomczak of Houston.
Pallbearers were Roman Sykowski, Charlie Rychlik, Ike Tomczak, Stanley Michalak, Floyd Majeski, and Alex Joswiak.
Interment was in the East Garden of Gethsemane.
