Mary Javannah Landon was born near Muscatine, Iowa, February 17, 1857, and died October 1, 1921, at Mayetta, Kan., aged 54 years, 7 months and 14 days. In early childhood she moved with her parents to Jackson county, West Virginia, attending school at Ravenswood. In 1887 she came to Kansas and has spent the remainder of her life in Jackson county. The last several years she has made her home with her brother, T. J. Landon and family near Mayetta . united with the Methodist church South of Ravenswood, West Virginia. In
1906 she united with the Methodist church at Mayetta, Kan. . She has been an invalid and physical sufferer for more than a year . She leaves to mourn her loss two sisters and three brothers, besides nieces and nephews. interment was in the Holton cemetery.
