A native and lifelong resident of Elyria, he attended First Assembly of God, Elyria, Church on the North Coast, Lorain and New Life Assembly of God, Wellington.
He enjoyed fishing and playing his harmonica.
Survivors include sisters, Martha Zimmerman and Treasa Burkett, both of Lorain, Faith Helmling of Wellington and Vickie King of Elyria; a brother, Joe of Vermilion; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Paul in 1953; his mother, Esther in 1980; and a brother, Abel in 1989.
