Albert "Benji" Hager, 62, of Branchland, departed this life on Tuesday, December 3, 2013, in Algonac, Mich.
He was born February 25, 1951, in Rum Creek, W.Va., a son of the late Albert & Verla Hager.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jim & Lucinda Webb and Eugene & Virginia Cochran.
Benji loved his family, Elvis and anything to do with space, and he was a huge Star Trek fan.
Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Tim "Tee" Hager of Detroit, Mich.; one sister, Sharon Williamson, of Mt. Sterling, Ky.; three brothers, David (Linda) Hager of Richmond Township, Mich., Paul Hager and James "Boo" (Rishea) Hager, both of Branchland; and several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to David "Hondo" Cochran for being like a big brother, and Everett Hager for the special bond they had.
Services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, December 12, 2013, at Freeman Funeral Home, with Rev. Earl Ramey officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Pecks Mill, W.Va.
Friends may call Thursday, December 12, 2013, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, W.Va. is in charge of the arrangements.
