Benedict, Florence J. (Lien) Age 91 of Bloomington and Marshall, MN. Passed away on April 30, 2015. Florence is finally at peace in her heavenly home. A woman of quick wit but also a true Prayer Warrior who believed all things work together for good. Her family was important to her, so she always kept a bag ready to go to visit one of her children or grandchildren. She traveled with her husband Jerome to so many places around the world. One of her more memorable trips was flying to London in the Concorde, riding the Orient Express and sailing the QEII back to New York. Florence's church group, Golden Ager's, was special for her in retirement as they traveled the US. Whenever the MN Twins were playing, Mom could be found listening to or watching the game. Preceded in death by sons Patrick and Michael, parents, 10 siblings and 1st husband Duane Sorenson. Survived by husband of 45 years Jerome. She will be missed by her children: Doug (Maggie), daughter-in-law Kathy, Gordy (Nancy), Grant (Paula), and Nancy (Jeff), 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren who will miss a special grandma who loved to host parties, play card games or give a back rub. Florence is also survived by her brother, Richard and many nieces and nephews who will truly miss her smile. The family extends their special thanks to the caregivers at Boulder Creek in Marshall, MN for an awesome year and to the hospice nurses at Manor Nursing Home in Minneota, MN who attended her in the last week of her life. They ROCK! Service 11 AM Tuesday, May 5, 2015 with visitation at 10 AM, Fourth Baptist Church, 900 Forestview Lane N., Plymouth, MN. Interment Dawn Valley Cemetery, Bloomington, MN. www.Washburn-McReavy.com Dawn Valley Chapel 952-941-7686
