Camilla was the daughter of Charlie "Bro Jack" Jackson and Marie Hutchings Jackson. She was educated in the Jones County School System. The family later moved to Macon, Georgia. She was employed with Maxwell Brothers Box Factory for 27 years. She also was employed with Southern Crate Box Factory for 20 years. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Lizella, Georgia under the leadership of Rev Jehovah C. King. She was a member of the Senior Usher Board. She was a charter member of the Central City Chapter #46 Eastern Star.

She was married to Okie Jackson, who preceded her in death. She later married Norris Hodges, who also preceded her in death.

Survivors:
2 Sons: Charles Gordon Sr(Betty S.) and Monta Jackson.
1 Foster Son: Albert McCrary.
5 Sisters: Louise Wilson, Amelia Jackson, Josephine Conway, Lucy Rooks and Helen Jackson.
3 Brothers: Charlie Jackson, Rev Robert Jackson(Josephine) and Joseph Jackson.
2 Aunts: Lula Hunt and Henretta Balkcom.
1 Uncle: Robert Smith.
2 Sisters-In-Law: Hattie Mae Johnson and Lois Jarrell.
3 Brothers-In-Law: Rev Clifford Jarrell, Joe Rooks and Leonard Jackson.

Services were held Saturday, April 13,1996 at 2pm in the Sanctuary of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Lizell, Georgia with Rev Lamb Andrews officiating and Rev R.K. Adams Eulogist.
