Mrs. Joseph J. Bartel(sic), 64, died Tuesday afternoon at the farm home in the town of Liberty, two miles southeast of St. Nazianz. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. from St. Gregory's Catholic church in St. Nazianz.
Mrs. Bartel, nee Theresia Leiderman, was born March 21, 1879 and came to this country and this county with her parents when she was one year old.
She was married in 1902 and the couple lived first at Sheboygan before taking over the present farm in the town of Liberty.
Survivors are the husband; four daughters, Ven. Sister Sigfrid at St. Francis convent in Milwaukee, Mrs. Joseph Johns and Miss Mary Bartel of Milwaukee and Miss Helen Bartel of Sheboygan; seven sons, Joseph Jr., and Frank of Sheboygan, George and John of Chilton, Anton in the army in North Africa, William in the navy at Farragut, Idaho, and Alois at home; two brothers, Frank Leiderman of
this city and Joseph of route 4; three sisters, Mrs. August Puta and Mrs. Hugo Benzinger of Mishicot and Mrs. Willliam Sprang of Two Rivers; and seven grandchildren.
