Obituary of Andrew Dummerm'th
Andrew Dummermuth, son of Chris and Dena Dummermuth, was born March 19, 1900, in Fayette county and died in his home
October 22, at the age of 58 years.
He received his early education in the Limekiln school with his brothers and sister and after his parents' retirement, he took over the homestead with his brother, Herbert.
On March 19, 1927, he was united in marriage to Ella Cordes of Strawberry Point. To this union were born three children, Dawn, Mrs. F. J. Slyfield, Columbus, Ohio, and Mrs. Gene Prantner of Rochester, and William, at home.
He was baptized in the Evangelical Lutheran faith in infancy and was a member of the Elgin Lutheran Church. He lived for the past 22 years on the present farm and took great pride in building up his farm and his herd of cattle.
He leaves his wife, children, and four grandchildren; his brothers, Herbert, Emery, Earl, Walter, Floyd, and one sister, Mabel, Mrs. Schatz of Lake Mills. His oldest brother, Albert, and parents have preceded him in death.
Funeral services, conducted by Dennis Stutrud, pastor of the Elgin Lutheran Church, were held Friday, October 24. Burial was made in the Elgin cemetery. Mrs. Strutnuld sang and was accompanied by Mrs. Woodrow Reed.
Casket bearers were Russell Larson, Bert Butikofer, John Nydegger, Orran Bane, Harry Feller and Edgar McDonough.
