FLORENCE H. SEUSS
Florence H. Seuss, 95, of 1314 Joyce Drive, died at 1:50 p.m. Monday in Carlyle Nursing Home. Mrs. Seuss was an employee of the former Wyman's Department Store. She was born January 1, 1894, in Aurora, Illinois, and lived in South Bend since 1948, coming from California.
On March 16, 1918, in South Bend, she married Martin M. Seuss. He died May 30, 1972. She is survived by a daughter, Shirley A. Martin of South Bend; a son, Jack M. of Penn Valley, California; nine grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. A son, Robert D., preceded her in death. She was a member of Roseland Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
