ROBERT DALE SEUSS

Robert Dale Seuss, 36, of 2301 S. 13th St., Niles, died at 9:30 a.m. Friday in Memorial Hospital following an illness of two years. Seuss, who was director of guidance education at Brandywine Senior High School, Niles, for the last five years, was born May 29, 1927 in South Bend. On September 30, 1949 in Edwardsburg, he married the former Norma Lee Claire, who survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Debra and Diane at home, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Seuss and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Florence Kramer, South Bend; a brother, Jack, of Kalamazoo, a sister, Mrs. Oscar Martin of South Bend.

Mr. Seuss was a 1954 graduate of Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo. Before his Brandywine post, he had taught industrial arts at Three Oaks High School. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Navy.

Friends may call after 7 p.m. today in the Pifer-Mahew Funeral Home, Edwardsburg. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Edwardsburg Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Kenneth Bowser, pastor and Rev. Larry Whiteford, pastor of Fulkerson Park Baptist Church, Niles, officiating. He was a member of the latter church. Burial will be in the Edwardsburg Cemetery.
