Elsie H. Grosshuesch, age 87, formerly of 7609 Carstens Lake Rd., died Sunday, September 20, 1992, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 1:30 Wednesday, September 23, 1992, at Salem Ebenezer Reformed Church. The Rev. Neale Riffert will officiate with burial following in the church cemetery.
She was born February 11, 1905, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Henry and Anna Schrank Pleuss. She married Elmer Grosshuesch June 21, 1924, in Newtonburg,
Wis. He preceded her in death on 1968. She was a member of the Salem Ebenezer Reformed Church. She taught grade school in the rural schools for several years.
She was a member of the Ladies Aide and Adult Bible classes. She was also a member of the Homemakers. For many years Elsie took great pride in her garden and yard work.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, William and Barbara Grosshuesch, Manitowoc; three daughters and sons-in-law, Beatrice and Harold Jost, Manitowoc, Shirley and Wilbert Dill, Newton, Marlys and Eugene Schwantz, Manitowoc; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Viola and Norbert Rusch, Manitowoc, Ann Baryenbruch, Bernice and Edward Kreil, also of Manitowoc; 14 grandchildren, Robert and Bonnie Jost, Manitowoc, Catherine and Robert Warwick, Manitowoc, James and Barbara Jost,
Cleveland, John and Cherry Jost, Manitowoc, Daniel and Janice Dill, Valders, David and Heidi Dill, Rochester, N.Y., Thomas and Esther Dill, New Port News, Va., Charon and John Wallander, Valders, Steve and Lori Dill, Peshtigo, Wis., Jody and Jared Bremer, Manitowoc, Jeffery Schwantz, Manitowoc, Jon and Annette Schwantz, Oshkosh,
Shannon Grosshuesch Manitowoc, and Ryan Grosshuesch, also of Manitowoc; 16 great grandchildren. Many relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death
by her husband Elmer, five brothers, four sisters, and one granddaughter, Heidi Grosshuesch.
Friends may call at the Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 4 until 9 p.m. Tuesday evening, September 22, 1992, and from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 23,
1992 at the funeral home. And from noon until the time of services at the Church.
Memorials may be made to Salem Ebenezer Reformed Church.
