Mrs. Erhardt Haupt, 53, of Rt. 3, Manitowoc, died Saturday morning at the home in Newtonburg following a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. John Evangelical
Lutheran Church, Newtonburg, the Rev. F.C. Knueppel officiating, with burial in the church cemetery.
The former Erna Pleuss was born Sept. 19, 1902, in the Town of Manitowoc Rapids, daughter of the late Henry and Anna Schrank Pleuss. She was married to Erhardt Haupt at Newtonburg May 2, 1922, and the couple farmed five years in Liberty until moving to the present location. She was a member of the Newtonburgh Homemakers Club.
She is survived by the husband, a daughter (private); four sons (private); five brothers, Norman, Edwin and Raymond of Manitowoc and Harvey and Henry of Rt. 4, Manitowoc; five sisters, Mrs. Elmer Gosshuesch(sic) and
Mrs. Norbert Rusch of Rt. 4, Manitowoc, and Mrs. Ann Baryenbruch, Mrs. Herbert Baryenbruch and Mrs. Edward Kreil of Manitowoc; and nine grand-children.
Friends may call at the Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after
2 p.m. Monday until 10:30 a.m. Tuesday when the casket will be moved to the church where the body will lie in state until the hour of service.
