Mrs. Anna E. Baryenbruch, age 92, of 1500 N. Third St., Manitowoc, died Thursday evening, Jan. 3, 2002 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7, 2002 at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Bruce Bitter will officiate with burial at Evergreen Cemetery.
Anna was born March 29, 1909 in Manitowoc County, daughter of the late Henry and Anna Schrank Pleuss. On June 1, 1929 she was married to Clarence H. Baryenbruch at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Newtonburg. Clarence Baryenbruch was a past
sheriff in Manitowoc County and preceded her in death on Nov. 11, 1953. She was a deputy and cook at the Manitowoc County Jail from 1948 to 1960. Anna was later employed at Globe Laundry. She was a member of First German Evangelical Lutheran
Church, First German Ladies Aid and the Manitowoc Senior Center. Anna enjoyed cooking and baking, knitting afghans and helping others during her retirement.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law: Lee H. and Marilyn J. Baryenbruch of Manitowoc; Thomas H. and Virginia L. Baryenbruch of Manitowoc; Donald H. and Doloros J. Baryenbruch of Two Rivers; five grandsons: Eric L. and Renee Baryenbruch
of Newton; Andrew J. and Luanne Baryenbruch of Newton; Karl J. and Lisa Baryenbruch of Newton; Jeffery T. Baryenbruch of Chicago, Ill.; David A. and Kelly Baryenbruch of Appleton; three granddaughters: Julie B. Baryenbruch of Manitowoc; Heidi A. and
Robert Ridnour of Des Moines, Iowa; Doralee J. and Michael McNeary of Sun Prairie; four great-grandsons: Bryan, Dylan, Anthony and Alec Baryenbruch; two great-grand-daughters: Amanda Baryenbruch and Jordan Ridnour; two sisters and one brother-in-law: Viola and Norbert Rusch of Manitowoc; Bernice Kreil of Manitowoc; two sisters-in-law:
Florence Pleuss of Manitowoc; and Marie Pleuss of Florida. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
Anna was preceded in death by her husband: Clarence; five brothers: Raymond, Henry, Norman, Ervin and Harvey Pleuss; three sisters: Linda Vogt, Erna Haupt, Elsie Grossheusch; one infant sister; and one granddaughter, Jennifer Baryenbruch.
Relatives and friends may call at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church on Monday, Jan. 7, 2002 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. E-mail letters of condolence
