Lydia P. Nighswonger (nee Lydia Peter) 61, a native of Sutton, and a resident of the Lodi, Calif., area since 1942, died April 14, at her home near Lodi. She had been in failing health for some time. She had been a member of the Assembly of God church since 1927. Beside her husband, Henry H. Nighswonger, she is survived by two children, Mrs. John F. Green, Rohnerville, Calif., and E.H. Nighswonger, Las Vegas, Nevada.
Also surviving are her mother, Mrs. Eva Peter of Sutton; six sisters, Mrs. Hugo Ochsner, Goodland, Kas.; Mrs. Gene Texera, San Jose, Cal.; Mrs. Albert Trautman, Modesto, Cal.; Mrs. Adolph Trautman, Hardington; Mrs. Sophie Jorn, Fresno, Cal.; Mrs. Reuben Griess, Torrance, Cal.; and four brothers, Harry Peter, Goodland, Kas.; Fred Peter of Grafton, Reuben Peter of Strafford, Mo., and Riney Peter of Ft. Collins, Colo.
