Two Rivers.
Jim was born Dec. 7, 1917, in Two Rivers, son of the late
Wenzel Sr. and Mary (Swoboda) Doleysh. He served in the U.S.
Army during Word War II. On Aug. 28, 1941, Jim married the
former Mildred Kasten in Dubuque, Iowa. He was a quality
control manager at Hamilton Manufacturing Company, Two Rivers,
retiring in 1972. Jim was a member of the Doleysh Brothers
Orchestra along with his brothers, Butch and Chubby. He was
also a member of the Rudy Plochar Orchestra, the Hamilton and
Two Rivers Municipal Band, and numerous other bands and
orchestras. Jim was also a member of Z.C.B.J. Lodge 142,
Two Rivers.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Doleysh, Mishicot; one
son and daughter-in-law: Robert and Nancy Doleysh, Richfield;
two grandchildren, Carol Doleysh, New Berlin; Cindy (Mark)
Jung, Maui, Hawaii; four sisters and two brothers-in-law,
Esther Wessley, Kewaunee; Julia Johnson, Two Rivers; Winifred
"Patty" and Roland Schmeichel, Two Rivers; Beverly and Frank
Hlinak, Melnik; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Clarence
"Chubby" Doleysh, Two Rivers; Wilfred "Butch" and Eunice
Doleysh, Manitowoc; two sisters-in-law, Lenore Jerabek,
Mishicot; Darlene Morrison, Oshkosh. Nieces, nephews, cousins,
other relatives and friends also survive.
He was preceded in death by a son, Donald James Doleysh;
three sisters and five brothers-in-law, Dorothy and Glenn
Nimmer; Helen and John Plansky; Leona and Maynard Doerfler;
Clifford Johnson; and Leo Wessley; and one sister-in-law,
Cecilia Doleysh
Pastor Kim Henning officiated at a private family funeral
service held at Klein & Stangel Funeral Home and Cremation
Care Center, Two Rivers. Burial will be at Forest View
Cemetery.
