MILTON - Robert Earl Hudson, 76, of Milton, died at his home on Friday, Jan. 12, 2007.

He was born on Oct. 12, 1930, in Milton Jct., WI, son of Robert Ainslie Hudson and Mathilda 'Tillie' (Zanzinger) Hudson. He graduated from Milton Union High School in 1950 and served in the USAF from Nov. 8, 1950, until honorably discharged on Nov. 8, 1954. Bob married Lillian Knutson on Dec. 18, 1953, in Greenville, SC, while both were serving in the military during the Korean Conflict. He retired from the Burdick Corp. in Milton after 42 years of employment.

He was a charter member of Hope Lutheran Church of Milton, Randolph-West Kelly Post 367 of the American Legion, the Loyal Order of Moose #197, the Gathering Place, and numerous railroad clubs.

Robert is survived by his wife, Lillian; 4 children: Brian (Jo) Hudson of Eau Claire, Bruce (Chris) Hudson of Newville, Brenda (Michael Bettison) Hudson of St. Paul, MN, and Brad (Kelly Olson) Hudson of Edgerton; 4 grandchildren: Neil (fiancée Colleen McNamara) Hudson of Eau Claire, Daxter Skildum, Anastasia Skildum, and Joshua Olson, all of Edgerton; 2 brothers, Eugene (Dorothy) Hudson of Beloit and Albert Hudson of Manlius, NY; a sister, Hope (Clarence) Vierck of Milton; 4 sisters-in-law: Gloria Knutson of Colfax, Lila Whitted of Colfax, Gladys Webb of Eau Claire, and Marian McDaniel of Colfax; 3 brothers-in-law: Reuben (Bonnie) Knutson of Elk Mound, Allen (Elaine) Knutson of Colfax, and Robert Knutson of Colorado; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters, Esther Atkinson Richardson and Virginia McQueen; and 3 brothers-in-law: Vernon, Gailen and Raymond Knutson.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2007, at Hope Lutheran Church, Milton, with Pastor Jerry Wendt presiding.
