JANESVILLE/MILTON - Esther M. Richardson, 96, of Milton, passed away Saturday morning, March 5, 2005, at Alden Meadow Park Health Center, Clinton, WI. She was born May 19, 1908, in Johnstown Township, Rock Co., WI. On Oct. 10, 1927, she married Earl Atkinson. He preceded her in death in 1961. She later married Chester Richardson in 1967, and he also preceded her in death. Esther was employed by the Parker Pen Co., and also Oaks Manufacturing, for many years, until her retirement. She had been a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Edgerton, and was a member of Order of Eastern Star.
Esther is survived by her two grandsons, Michael (Kathy) Walker, of Janesville and Tom Walker of Bettendorf, IA; 3 great-grandchildren: Allison, Stephanie, and David Walker of Janesville; 2 brothers, Albert Hudson of Manlius, NY, and Robert Hudson of Milton, WI; a sister, Hope Vierck of Milton; a half-brother, Eugene Hudson, of Beloit, WI; nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her mother, Tillie, a daughter, Charlotte Walker; and a son-in-law, Duane Walker.
Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 10, 2005, at the Whitcomb-Lynch-Albrecht Funeral Home, Milton, 828 Janesville, St., Milton. Interment will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery, Janesville. Memorials in Esther's name may be made to Mercy Assisted Care, Janesville, WI.
