Francis W. Carolin
Francis W. “Pete” Carolin, 62, of 203 Morton St., died yesterday at Community-General Hospital after a long illness.
A life resident of Syracuse, he was employed as a custodian at Corcoran High School. He was a communicant of St. Brigid’s and St. Joseph’s Church and a member of its Holy Name Society.
Surviving are his wife, the former Catherine Gebhardt; a son, Francis W. Jr.; two brothers, Edward and Anthony of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Charles Caldwell of Syracuse; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 8:15 a.m. Thursday at Harold E. Hoare Funeral Home, and at 9 a.m. in St. Brigid’s and St. Joseph’s Church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home, 1105 Willis Ave.
