ANTHONY J. CAROLIN, of 203 Morton St. died unexpectedly yesterday at his home.
He retired from the New York Central Freight House in 1952 after 30 years. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Brigid’s Church, the Ancient Order of Hibernians and the Brotherhood of Railroad Clerks.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Sarah Carolin; a daughter, Mrs. Charles Caldwell; three sons, Edward, Francis and Anthony Carolin; two brothers, Patrick and John Carolin; two sisters, Mrs. Patrick Henry and Mrs. George Ryan; 11 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 8:15 a.m. Monday at Harold F. Hoare Funeral Home, 1105 Willis Ave., and at 9 a.m. in St. Brigid’s Church where a solemn high Mass will be celebrated. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home.
