Washington, D.C. -- Brother Andrew Dinkel, O.F.M., stationed at the Franciscan Monastery here for 54 years, died Wednesday, Aug. 3.

He was born Nicholas Dinkel Feb. 18, 1888 in Victoria, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Andreas Dinkel.

He entered the monastery March 29, 1922.

Surviving is a brother, John A. Dinkel, of Victoria.

Funeral and burial will be in Washington, D.C. A Mass will be said for Brother Dinkel at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Victoria.
