Funeral services for Tom Aliff, 69, of route 1, Fort Gay, were conducted July 24 in Fort Gay Baptist Church by the Rev. Herman Wellman. Burial was in Fort Gay Cemetery. Mr. Aliff, prominent Wayne County merchant, died July 21 at the residence. Mr. Aliff was born August 8, 1909, at Williamson, WV, a son of the late Henry and Ada Taylor Aliff. He was an employee of Aliff hardware and Furniture Co. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Garnet S. Clair of Fort Gay, and three brothers, Ray, William and Frank Aliff, all of Fort Gay.
