Eugene Henry Aswell, Jr.

Funeral services for Mr. Eugene Henry Aswell, Jr., age 52, of Bastrop, will be 10 a.m. Saturday January 22, 2005 at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home, Bastrop with the Rev. Dalyn Hebling and Rev. Larry Jeffries officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home, Bastrop.
Eugene was a member of the First Church of God of Bastrop and was a retired Technical Seargent with the U.S. Air Force after twenty-one years of service. Mr Aswell began his second career as a teacher at H.V. Adams Elementary School in Bastrop. For the past five years he has been teaching both math and science at Bastrop Middle School. Eugene will also be remembered for the labor of love he dedicated to the Rose Theatre.
Mr. Eugene Aswell is survived by his wife Judy Katherine Aswell of Bastrop, his three daughters; Katherine Elaine Aswell, Mary Eliza Aswell, and Rebecca Louise Aswell, all of Bastrop, his parents; Eugene Henry Aswell, Sr. and Alice Elaine Aswell both of Bastrop, two sisters; Nancy Evelyn Martin and husband Gary Martin of West Monroe, and Helen Annette Cornman and husband Gary Cornman of Greenwell Springs, Louisiana, and a brother; Jeffery Reagan Aswell and wife Karen Aswell of West Monroe, Louisiana, numerous aunts and uncles, and a host of nieces, nephews, and family.
Pallbearers are Don McIntyre, Brett Rogers, Michael Raney, Wandall Coody, Mark Robinson, and Hal Robinson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Andre Robinson, Al Lovell, Carol Lovell, and James Nall.
Visitation with the family will be both Thursday and Friday afternoons till 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
