Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn Aswell Martin, 55, of West Monroe will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, November 5, 2009 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with Rev. Larry Eubanks officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Calhoun, LA.
Mrs. Martin was born on September 29, 1954 in Bastrop, LA and passed away on November 2, 2009 in West Monroe, LA.
She was a member of Cypress Baptist Church. Her family was her life and she loved to read and cook.
She is preceded in death by her father, Eugene Aswell, Sr. and brother, Eugene Aswell, Jr.
She is survived by her mother, Alice Aswell; husband, Gary L. Martin; daughter, Crystal Martin Murphy and husband Shannon; son, Casey Martin and wife Kristi; grandchildren, Zachary Richardson and Cameron Martin; sister, Annette Cornman and husband Gary; brother, Jeffery Aswell and wife Karen; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Cecil Waters, Jerry Martin, Mark Owens, Ed Overstreet, Bobby Murphy, Jr. and Ronnie Wallace.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
