Eleanor Allison Schwein was the 4th child born to Silas & Emma Francis Sargent Allison. She was united in marriage to George William Schwein on Jan 31, 1906 in Ulysses, Grant Co., Kansas.

Mrs. George Schwein Dies In Hospital After Long Illness

Funeral services were held Monday morning, Dec. 24, for Mrs. George Schwein, 78, a long time resident whose death occurred in Bob Wilson Memorial hospital Friday, Dec. 21.

Services were at the Ulysses Methodist church with Rev. Robert Peters officiating assisted by Rev. Jesse Shaw.

Burial in the Ulysses cemetery was directed by Phillips Mortuary.

Honorary pallbearers were Preston Turner, R.R. Bechtelheimer, C.S. Tillert, O.P. Williams, John Lewis, Glenn Jarvis, Claude Merritt and R.H. Jones.

Active pallbearers were Tom Joyce, Robert H. Joyce, Marion Hennigh, Combs Hampton, Robert Deyoe and A.A. Flummerfelt.

Lived here 32 years.

Mrs. Schwein had been a Ulysses resident 32 years since she and Mr. Schwein came here from her native Stafford county. She was born December 8, 1884, at Sylvia.

Although Mrs. Schwein had been ill in recent years, she was for many years active in affairs of her church and the community.

She is survived by Mr. Schwein of the home; three sons, Keith of Ulysses, Rex of Atchison and Gene of Durango, Colo.; and by three daughters, Mrs. Cleo Trent of Dodge City, Mrs. June Flummerfelt of Hugoton and Mrs. Joan Lewis of Ulysses.

Also surviving are 24 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
