She was born March 25, 1918, in Catharine to James F. and Virginia (Koerner) Giebler.
She married Alvin M. Weigel on Nov. 18, 1941, in Russell. He preceded her in death Aug. 24, 2012.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Fidelis Catholic Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, both of Victoria, and Hays Daughters of Isabella. She moved to Victoria in 1982 from Pratt.
Survivors include a son, Gary Weigel and wife, Clarene, Colorado Springs, Colo.; two daughters, Delores Schmidt and husband, Terrance, Oklahoma City, and Jacqueline Luttrell and husband, Denny, Eldon, Mo.; two brothers, Kenneth Giebler and wife, Edna, and Vernon Giebler and wife, Lori, all of Hays; four sisters, Sylvia Stecklein, Pratt, Ruth Carter, Jacksonville, Fla., Alice Schneider, Victoria, and Mae Desch-Boos, Lafayette, Colo.; two sisters-in-law, Lucille Giebler, Grand Junction, Colo., and Theresa Giebler, Hays; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Joseph Giebler and James Giebler; and three sisters, Loretta Stecklein, Lorraine Dreiling and Jeannie Rupp.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Fidelis Catholic Church, Victoria; burial in St. Fidelis Cemetery, Victoria. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. Thursday, both at Cline's Mortuary, 412 Main, Victoria, KS 67671. A Hays Daughters of Isabella rosary will be at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, a vigil at 7 p.m., followed by a Victoria VFW Auxiliary memorial service/rosary at 7:30 p.m., all at the mortuary.
Memorials are suggested to the churches of the family in care of the mortuary.
