Norma Jean "Jeannie" Rupp, 74, Hays, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008, at St. John's Nursing Home, Victoria. She was born July 20, 1933, in Severin to James F. and Virginia (Koerner) Giebler.

She married Francis Al "Hammie" Rupp on Sept. 9, 1953, in Severin.

She was a homemaker and worked at El Charro Apartments and Convenience Store, Hays. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband, of the home; a son, Kevin Rupp and wife, Joyce, Hays; three brothers, Jim Giebler and wife, Theresa, Kenneth Giebler and wife, Edna, and Vernon Giebler, all of Hays; five sisters, Sylvia Steckline, Pratt, Ventura Weigel and husband, Al, and Alice Schneider, all of Victoria, Ruth Carter, Jacksonville, FL, and Mae Desch-Boos and husband, Gilbert, Greeley, CO

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Joe Giebler; and two sisters, Loretta Stecklein and Lorraine Dreiling.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays; burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, both at Brock's North Hill Chapel, 2509 Vine. A wake will be at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to St. Joseph Catholic Church or the Capuchin Mid-America Province in care of the funeral home.
