Shields V Herron Jr. age 71 of Bogata died Thursday Oct 29 at his residence. He was born April 20, l944 in Columbus, Mississippi the son of Shields V Herron Sr. and Ezzie Hallman Herron.
He was a retired cook. He is survived by a niece/daughter Marsha Hyman and husband Larry of Bogata, a son Joey Traywick and wife C.J. of Meridian, Mississippi, daughters Candy Swindle of Cedar Bluff, Mississippi, Brandy Herron of McCool, Mississippi and Amber Thomas and husband Curtis of Winfield, Texas,11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, a sister Annie Lewis of Humboldt, TN, several nieces, nephews great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral services will be 2pm Sunday Nov 1 in the Chapel of Wood Funeral Home of Deport with Cub Maynard officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
