Married Katie Josephine Kearn, November 12, 1917. Marriage later solemnized Salt Lake LDS Temple. Member of Murray 19th LDS Ward, high priest. Veteran World War I.
His parents divorced and each married again by 1903. His mother married at least 4 times during her long life. She died Pineville, Bell Co, KY at age 107.
Survivored by: wife Katie, Murray; sons: William Jackson, James Robert and daughters Mrs Betty (Gene) Bagley, Mrs Elaine Smith; all Salt Lake City; 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; his mother Bettie, Middlesboro, Kentucky; sisters Mrs Sally Eldridge, Middlesboro, KY and Hallie Broyles, Pineville, Kentucky.
Funeral services Monday, 2 pm. Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So State, friends may call Sunday 6-8 pm. and Monday one half hour prior to service.
Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
