Mr. Hoover Passed Away On Sunday, December 6, 2015, At His Home Surrounded By His Family. Mr. Hoover Provided A Friendly Smile And Warm Welcome To All That He Met.
He Was A Respected Member Of The Hanging Limb Community But Above All He Was A Loving Husband, Son-In-Law, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, And Brother.
He Was A Dutiful Civil Servant, Serving In The U.S. Army In Germany From 1958-1962, As A SP4. He Received A Good Conduct Level Medal.
He Also Served As An Overton County Commissioner From 1972-1976.
In 1975, He Began Working For The United States Postal Service. During His 30 Years Of Work With The Postal System, He Served As The Postmaster Of The Crawford, Tennessee, Branch From 1980-1985, As A Manger Of The Cookeville/Willow Branch Office From 1985-1995, And As The Postmaster Of The Alpine, Tennessee, Office From 1995-2005.
He Also Worked At The Anderson Community Convenience Center For The Past 10 Years.
He Was Initiated Into The Masons In 1967 And For Years He Was A Member Of The Shiloh Masonic Lodge #637, Where He Was The Past Master Several Times. He Was Survived By, His Wife Of 51 Years, Whom He Married On July 10, 1964, Wanda Reed Hoover Of Hanging Limb, TN; The 4 Children That He Shared And Loved Greatly With Wanda, 2 Daughters And Sons-In-Law, Sandy And Russell Buckner Of Monterey, TN, Debbie And Eric Vickers Of Cookeville, TN; 2 Sons And A Daughter-In-Law, Darrell And Paula Hoover Of Hanging Limb, TN, Brian Hoover Of Lebanon, TN;
