Mrs. William (Clara) Mathis

Mrs. William (Clara) Mathis, 87, Denmark, died early Saturday morning at a Green Bay nursing home.

She was born Jan. 8, 1891, in the Town of Morrison, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Luedtke. She married William Mathis April 14, 1909 in the Town of Morrison. He preceded her in death in 1963.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Marcella Baldwin, De Pere, and Mrs. Cyrus (Dorothy) Juno, Sun City, Ariz.; two sons, Lester and Hugo, both of Denmark; one sister, Mrs. Tillie Rasmussen, De Pere; 15 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. One son, Gilbert, preceded her in death.

Friends may call at the Knutson Funeral Home, Denmark, after 3 p.m. today and after noon Monday at Zion United Methodist Church in Denmark. Funeral service 2 p.m. Monday at the church with the Rev. Bernard Setterlund officiating. Burial in the East Cooperstown Cemetery.
