Mrs. Edna Schneider, age 69, of Route 2, Elkhart Lake, in the town of Rhine, passed away at Calumet Medical Center in Chilton last Monday evening, March 21, 1988, where she had been a patient the past five days.

She was born on June 12, 1918 in the Town of New Holstein, Calumet County, a daughter of the late Herman and Emma Jens Bunge.

She attended district schools in the Town of Herman, and on May 10, 1941 she married Elmer Schneider.

The couple lived in Kiel, following their marriage. Mr. Schneider preceded her in death on April 22, 1980. She had been employed as a nurses aide in the Sheboygan area.

Mrs. Schneider was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Plymouth.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. LeRoy (Sharon) Schmahl, Town of Greenbush, Mrs. Gery (Cindy) Ford, Plymouth; one son, Jerome (Sally) of Route 2, Elkhart Lake; seven grandchildren, six step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, four brothers and sisters.

Following cremation, a memorial services will be held Thursday, March 24, at 7 p.m. at the Wittkopp Funeral Home, Plymouth. Rev. James Hoppert, pastor of Salem United Church of Christ, will officiate.
